Royal Icing


Royal Icing

3 egg whites (or safe egg equivalent)
½ tsp of cream of tartar
1-pound 10x sugar

*Cream of tartar makes it stiff and more sugar makes it thick. Add water to thin the mixture if needed. Use to decorate your gingerbread house or gingerbread men cookiesJ

Note: This recipe calls for raw egg whites. For safety reasons use an egg white alternative, such as pasteurized liquid egg whites, if desired, which can be found in most grocery stores
