Gingerbread Dough


Gingerbread Dough

2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ginger
1/3-cup sugar
½ cup vegetable shortening
½ cup molasses
3 tblspns hot water

Directions:
Combine ingredients in a large bowl and blend well.
Roll into a ball and chill dough over night wrapped in plastic wrap in the fridge.
When your ready to bake, roll out dough on non stick or floured surface so it wont stick and then use a cookie cutter or other device to create the shapes you are looking for. Once the shapes have been made place them on a non-stick cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes
Allow to cool and then have fun building your gingerbread house or decorating your little gingerbread man. Hopefully he won’t run away, ha ha ha!!!
